Etymotic has recently enriched its product line with a new Bluetooth wireless headset, namely the etyBLU2. Using advanced noise-reduction technology, the headset promises to enable quality conversations even in noisy environments.

Etymotic’s ACCU•Technology provides 30 dB of noise cancellation at the microphone plus 30 dB of noise isolation at the ear, ensuring a better experience for both talking and listening. The microphone, fitted with the ACCU•Location technology, provides superior speech clarity. The sound quality is also at a high level, thanks to a high-output 8 mm moving coil driver.

Unlike other Bluetooth headsets that require users to raise their voices in order for the sound to be picked up by the microphone, etyBLU2 allows people to speak in normal or low voice and still be heard clearly, even in noisy environments. Etymotic's ACCU•Location close-proximity bi-directional microphone technology rejects ten times more noise than other wireless headsets.

Moreover, the ACCU•Fit noise-isolating eartips enable listeners to enjoy clear conversations without having to raise the sound volume to uncomfortable levels. Users can have discussions over the phone for up to seven hours without experiencing ear fatigue.

The etyBLU2 wireless headset also comes with multi-point technology for the simultaneous operation of two Bluetooth handsets, a low-battery warning function with both sound and LED notifications, and a pairing capability for connecting up to eight different Bluetooth units.

“The etyBLU2 headset is designed for mobile phone and home office power users who conduct important conversations in noisy environments, or for long durations, or both,” Mark Karnes, managing director of consumer products at Etymotic, said. “Some Bluetooth headset makers focus on fancy styles and colors, and that’s fine – but we’re more interested in delivering a serious product for serious users. The etyBLU2 headset doesn’t look like ear jewelry, and it doesn’t sound like ear jewelry, either.”

The etyBLU2 headset carries a price tag of $129 and comes with a USB charging cable, windscreen and a two-year warranty. It can be purchased directly from Etymotic's website, as well as from well-known retailers such as Amazon, Apple, B&H Photo, Headroom, InMotion Entertainment stores, J&R Music World, and others.
