Voters have spoken

Each year, popular men’s magazine Esquire asks its readers to vote for the hottest woman on that respective year, out of a very fine assortment of gorgeous ladies, from actresses to lingerie models and singers. For a while there, competition was very tight between Megan Fox and Dame Helen Mirren. However, the biggest winner is Esquire’s Hottest Woman Alive – a new honor that is bestowed upon Brooklyn Decker after 5 million people cast their vote.

The Sports Illustrated model is one of the hottest commodities on the market right now, getting plenty of exposure both for her work as a model and as an actress, as she’s preparing to launch a career in movies as well. With a body like hers, it’s no wonder most men chose to vote for her as the top hottie ever, as Esquire also points out. Aside from looking very good (even when she’s just gotten off a 7-hour flight), this stunner also has a sense of humor – and knows she should be thankful even for the smallest things in life.

“Six rounds, sixty-four competitors, and five-million votes later, one supermodel stands alone atop the (fake) podium in Esquire’s readers’-choice tournament. The most beautiful tennis trophy ever is taking home the first-ever [Hottest] Woman Alive Madness trophy. Twenty-three-year-old Brooklyn Decker dominated the veteran Heidi Klum on her home court here this past week in the finals of Esquire’s upset-laden, fan-favorite bracket. The blond captured 89 percent of the vote for a championship run nobody – with the possible exception of Seal, who was home taking care of Klum’s newborn baby – really saw coming,” Esquire writes.

Proving that those 85 percent of voters who made her the ultimate hot Esquire lady were not wrong when they did so, Brooklyn says she’s flattered by being named that. “I was very surprised to make it this far in the tournament. I mean, did you see the picture of me picking my nose? I’ve had a very lucky year with the Sports Illustrated cover, the new movie, and now this. Let’s hope good things come in threes,” the model and wife of tennis player Andy Roddick says of her spectacular win.

The film she’s referring to is a romantic comedy that will hopefully launch her acting career. In “Just Go With It,” Decker stars opposite Nicole Kidman, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Being on the same set with Aniston has already prompted some tabs to run stories of rivalry and of her looking to save face when pitted against a much younger rival.
