The animals scratched the kid’s face, frightened her terribly

This past Monday, two lemurs owned by a person living in Miami have managed to escape and decided to go and explore the city.

Apparently, nobody bothered to become alerted by their presence on the streets in North Miami Beach until the animals attacked a 7-year-old girl who was just getting out of her mother's car.

Luckily for the girl, she only suffered some minor scratches to her face, and needed no hospitalization. Still, sources report that she went through quite a scare.

Later on, the lemurs were tracked down and caught by police officers, who received some much-needed help from the animals' owner.

“This is the first time I've ever been dispatched to a call like this,” commented on this incident North Miami Beach Police Sgt. Richard Rand.

Needless to say, this just goes to show that wild animals rarely make proper pets, regardless of how tamed they might seem.
