Erin Andrews says quitting Dancing With the Stars is not an option even after receiving death threats

With her first stalker behind bars for 30 months, ESPN correspondent Erin Andrews is again targeted by a man who is now under FBI investigation. The man sent out a bunch of e-mails to various outlets saying how he’d like to see Andrews dead, but she’s not letting that stop her from continuing to compete on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, as the New York Daily News informs.

The first e-mails started off more like a very sinister joke, but their tone got increasingly more threatening with each day. The last one, for instance, says something about wanting to see Andrews dance her way out of a hail of gunfire because that would definitely make his day. The FBI has the identity of the man who’s sending out these e-mails and an arrest is believed to occur soon – while Andrews herself insists she’s not too scared to compete on DWTS.

“Erin Andrews isn’t letting an obsessed creep stop her from appearing on Monday night’s live episode of Dancing With the Stars. The ESPN correspondent, who was recently targeted with death threats, said she is dedicated to her time on the ABC competition series and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. ‘I’m glad I’m here,’ Andrews told People.com. ‘I have a dance on Monday and I don’t want to let Maks down, I don’t want to let my family down, and I don’t want to let myself down,’” the NY Daily News writes, citing Andrews herself.

“Andrew has yet to seek a restraining order against the alleged stalker, but has reportedly asked ABC to increase the reality television show’s level of security while she remains a contestant. Andrews, 31, is slated to perform the waltz Monday night with Chmerkovskiy, who has remained coy about rumors of a budding romance with the blond beauty. Despite the threats, she said she’s not going anywhere. ‘I’m not going to stop living my life. I don’t quit on things,’ she told People. ‘It’s not an option for me,’” the same publication says.

Even without the unwanted publicity she’s gotten these past few days, Erin Andrews and her dancing partner, Maksim, rank among the favorite teams. Not the same can be said about Kate Gosselin, also referred to as the original OctoMom, whose presence on the show is hanging by a thread after judges labeled her performance a “nightmare.”
