The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel will be using Ericsson's in-building solutions to make itself a top reliable network. This is the largest single structure hotel in Asia and the second largest building in the world, which makes this partnership one with high stakes.
The hotel will host the Mobile Asia Congress between
November 12 and 15, leaving it up to Ericsson to take care of the telecom support for all event participants and exhibitors. The company will enable high-quality, seamless coverage across 2G and 3G
networks for both commercial GSM/EDGE/WCDMA and CDMA. It also supports professional users with TETRA coverage.
This particular deal is nothing like all the others that Ericsson holds with major operators or governments. "The Venetian Macao is already a landmark building and is now set to become a landmark for wireless in-building solutions. We are thrilled to partner with CTM and provide our world-leading in-building solution for this prestigious project", said Johan Adler, President of Ericsson Hong Kong and Macau.
On the other hand, the event is important for the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, which made it only natural to head towards the partner with greatest experience. "We chose Ericsson because of its leading-edge wireless broadband indoor coverage technology and innovative solutions, along with its rich rollout experience. This deal extends our long-running
partnership and emphasizes our shared commitment to providing high-quality seamless communications in Macao", commented on the deal Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM.
Ericsson currently provides solutions in more than 140 countries and has contributed to the building of some of the most powerful communication companies in the world. The Venetian Macao hotel covers more than 10 million square feet and offers 3,000 all-suite guest rooms, which makes it the largest one in the world.
