A brief review

Although we are dealing with an entry-level model, the multifunctional inkjet Stylus Photo RX425 built by Epson offers superior printing and scanning quality, as well as photo-copying capabilities; the device is also fitted with a memory card reader.

The main advantages of this device are: low toner consumption rate and the quality of the prints. The printer doesn't require the connection to a PC, the printer being able to print from a memory card. Unfortuntely, Epson doesn't offer PictBridge, a technology that allows direct printing from a digital camera.

The documents' printing speed is 15 pages per minute, and the resolution of the printer is 5760x1440 dpi.

Printing a 10x8 image at maximum quality takes maximum 2 minutes. Epson's device has 4 ink cartridges, which means less money on ink, the user being able to change the cartridges one by one.

The only disadvantage of the Epson Stylus Photo RX425 is the absence of a LCD for previewing the printed images.
