A new multimedia projector named Epson PowerLite S5 is now the newest projector of the Japanese company portfolio. PowerLite comes with two most important features for a multimedia projector worthy of its name: a high brightness of 2000 ANSI lumen and a SVGA resolution.

The Epson PowerLite S5 multimedia projector is a multifaceted, potent and reasonable product to the entrepreneurs, educators and the businessmen and it comes with a price tag of $649. In order to provide its users with a vivid and sharp image of intense clarity combined with incredible color reproduction and detailing, the PowerLite S5 comes equipped with the latest model of high aperture 3LCD technology.

Epson PowerLite S5 is equipped with HDTV support and enables users to experience high definition material in clarity and details made possible by the 720p or the 1080i standards. Unfortunately, Epson did not include in the PowerLite S5 support for the HDMI standard, which would have made Xbox 360 and PS3 users very happy. Because of that, only Wii gamers will be able to appreciate the PowerLite S5 as they can play just by hooking up directly to "Game" mode of the Epson's multimedia projector.

Apart from the mainstream features of every multimedia projector, the Epson PowerLiteS5 comes with some points that projector users just cannot ignore. Among the special features of the Epson projector, there's the possibility to turn off the images and sound instantly thanks to the A/V and Mute Slide functions. A flexible positioning feature in the PowerLite S5 allows users to easily set up the projector for a large and clear image (both from short or long distances) thanks to the included 1.3x digital zoom. The long warranty period of two years comes as an additional advantage, the Epson PowerLiteS5 being available for purchase from national retailers, pro audio/visual dealers and even PC resellers.
