The other day, a remix for Future’s “Karate Chop,” featuring Lil Wayne emerged online, including a line from Weezy that compared Emmett Till’s death to his prowess in the bedroom.

Epic Records has issued a statement to apologize for whatever offense the lyric may have caused, and to stress that the remix was unauthorized, a leak.

Till was murdered for whistling at a white woman over 5 decades ago.

“We regret the unauthorized remix version of Future's ‘Karate Chop,’ which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics,” Epic Records says in a statement to Hip Hop Wired.

“Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family and the support of the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr., we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version,” the statements goes on to say.

Be that as it may, but the version with the offensive lyric is still online, on Weezy’s official YouTube channel no less.
