Epic Games has confirmed that it's still quite dedicated to creating new projects, countering rumors that appeared after the sale of the Gears of War franchise to Microsoft.

Epic Games made some big waves yesterday when it confirmed that one of its biggest franchises, Gears of War, had been sold to Microsoft.

This left the studio with just one confirmed game in development, in the form of Fortnite, which hasn't received any new details for quite some time.

In order to counter any reports that it's stopping building games and focusing on its Unreal Engine 4, Epic's Wes Phillips has emphasized on Twitter that the studio is still creating plenty of titles.

"And for people saying Epic isn't making games anymore, we currently have multiple games in development, including Fortnite," he said.

Unfortunately, it's unclear when Fortnite and the other projects will be detailed.
