One of the developers who is working at Junction Point on the new Epic Mickey video game has stated that the game will have a number of different endings which will be heavily influenced by the choices a player makes while going through the game.

Adam Creighton, who is a producer working on the Disney character based video game, has told IGN as part of a Question & Answer session that, “As you play through Disney Epic Mickey, what you do affects you and the game world, and changes how the game plays out.”

He added “This includes what Guardians you attract, how many, which quests you can finish (and which you can’t), and how you finish the quests you do choose to take on. Some of your actions will affect who is in a particular part of the world, and how they treat you, including whether they choose to even give you quests.”

The developer has not said exactly how the endings will be presented, with a different cinematic offered each time or with a text base recap which tells the player where he has made an impact.

After all players have been burned before by claims that a game will have a lot of endings that were not backed up by the product on launch.

Fallout 3 promised varied endings but the impact of some player choices was very small and it was only mentioned in passing in the end game recapitulation.

Epic Mickey will see the well known Disney character visit a world inhabited by cartoon characters that have long been forgotten.

Mickey himself is responsible for the creation of the Phantom Blot which now dominates the realm and must take action, using the twin mechanics of applying thinner and paint, in order to return the forgotten world to its previous state.

At the moment Epic Mickey is set to be launched on November 25 in the Europe and November 30 in the United States with the game coming exclusively on the Nintendo Wii.
