It seems that Disney was a bit too excited with the upcoming Epic Mickey 2 game, as the company already confirmed it through a newsletter sent to a variety of subscribers, which contained a full description of the new title.

Epic Mickey was released last year, coming from the mind of famous game designer Warren Spector, and, while it wasn’t that well received, it still managed to generate quite a lot of interest among younger gamers.

Now, it seems that Epic Mickey 2 is all but confirmed, at least according to a newsletter sent out by Disney, which was quickly deleted from its internal servers. The email was saved by a few quick readers, including its full description of the new game that wouldn’t be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii, like its predecessor.

"Disney Epic Mickey 2 is the latest game in the critically acclaimed Disney Epic Mickey videogame series. In this all-new action-platforming game available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, Mickey embarks on an epic journey and is pulled back into a world filled with Disney's forgotten characters,” the newsletter said, via MTV Multiplayer.

Among the main new features of the game is the presence of a cooperative mode, through which one player controls the magic paint, while another wields the paint thinner.

"Players can choose to play single-player as Mickey or for the first time players can also choose 2-player split screen mode. In the 2 player mode one person can play as Mickey wielding magic paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world and the second player can play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit - Walt Disney's first cartoon star - with the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to fight or friend enemies and solve challenges.”

The game will be a more sprawling affair, from what the description says, and even takes into account the actions of the player (or players) for its multiple endings.

Disney has yet to comment on this leak, but you can expect an official announcement in the near future.
