The 2011 Spike TV Video Game Awards will premiere this weekend and already plenty of reveals are scheduled to happen during it, among which being a brand new project from Epic Games, the studio behind hit franchises like Gears of War or Unreal Tournament.

The 2011 VGAs will be the place to be for any large games publisher or developer, and Epic Games, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, will make it the venue for the announcement of a brand new project, completely unrelated to existing properties made by the studio.

The teaser announcement was made by Epic’s creative director, Cliff Bleszinski, who later confirmed on his Twitter account that it’s unlike anything we’ve seen from the studio and that it won’t feature the already infamous Space Marines from Unreal Tournament or Gears of War.

Check out the announcement video below and get ready for the 2011 Spike TV VGAs on December 10.
