The L32W661 - affordable and quite feature-packed

All of us would simply love to be able to watch our favorite TV shows and movies or play video games in high-definition but, unfortunately, HDTV sets are still relatively expensive for quite a large number of people out there. And this is exactly the reason why the Envision company came up with the L32W661, a 32-inch LCD display that provides advanced viewing and connectivity options for quite an attractive price tag.

Thus, the device can support a maximum resolution of 1366x768 pixels, at an aspect ratio of 16:9 (widescreen). Furthermore, the other specs of the HD television set from Envision are quite interesting as well, namely 16.7 million colors, a brightness level of 500 cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, horizontal/vertical viewing angles of 178 degrees, while the 8 ms response time makes it quite an interesting alternative to a normal PC monitor.

The TV set also includes dual HDMI inputs, which is an extremely important factor for any modern device of this type, as it allows users to hook it up to a next-gen gaming console or a high-end multimedia player and enjoy the images in their full splendor.

Additionally, the HD television set from Envision also sports a 16-watt stereo speaker set with an SPDIF interface, dual component and single VGA inputs, and ATSC and ClearQAM HD tuners (somewhat of a standard in this field already) for working with unencrypted HDTV broadcasts without a separate cable box.

As Electronista reports, the new HDTV set from Envision should retail for around $649, which would make it one of the most affordable such products available on the market (exactly the reason why this thing is targeting mostly students and people with modest income). However, the question remains: does it also provide the image quality offered by the other, more expensive such models?
