Having a widescreen monitor is quite an important issue for a relatively large number of users, especially for those who require a lot of desktop space for running various specific applications. And this is the reason why the people over at Envision launched the G416 model, a 24-inch widescreen LCD display that provides certain advanced features, as well as a high level of compatibility with the latest OS from Microsoft.

According to Envision, the G416 has been designed to complement Microsoft's Vista operating system by providing easier navigation between multiple programs and maximizing screen space for Windows Vista Premium's Sidebar feature. The flat-panel display allows users to run applications side-by-side, eliminating the need for toggling and view more columns when working with tables and spreadsheets. The widescreen format takes advantage of Vista Premium's Aero Flip, enabling users to effortlessly navigate between multiple open windows.

The G416 features HDCP supported Digital Visual Interface (DVI) input enabling HD video playback from a variety of high-definition (HD 720p/1080i) program sources, including HD-DVD, Blu-ray DVD, Cable, Satellite and other Set Top Boxes equipped with DVI-HDCP or HDMI using a separate HDMI- DVI adapter.

The TFT active-matrix widescreen monitor offers 1920 x 1200 screen resolution for exceptional clarity and a 5ms response time that ensures clear, uninterrupted presentation of rapidly moving objects and fast-motion video. Featuring 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the Envision G416 provides vivid, true-to-life image quality and features Dynamic Color Boost (DCB) with five options for a more natural color reproduction. Eco Mode settings allow the user to regulate power consumption with a choice of Text, Internet, Game, Movie and Sports settings.

"The Envision G416 is ideal for serious consumers interested in using their monitor for a full range of applications while conserving precious workspace", said Michael Lien, GM, North American Brand Sales. "From achieving high levels of professional productivity to enjoying superb multimedia and entertainment playback, this monitor is a must-have in any home or office setting."

Despite its wide size and advanced features, the device from Envision is not exactly very expensive, retailing for just around 400 US dollars, quite an affordable price tag, compared to other similar models available on the market.
