OS X developer Eigenlogik has cut Entropy’s original selling price ($18.99 / €16.99) to $8.99 / €7,99, making the powerful archiver more affordable than ever.
Compatible with OS X 10.6 or later, Entropy offers an unmatched set of features (for archiving apps), including the ability to extract all major formats, create highly-compressed archives, “industrial-strength” encryption, and the option to preview the files inside an archive without actually expanding it.
In the same manner, you can use Entropy to modify an archive without having to pry it open first. And you can customize its appearance too.
Other key features include the built-in password manager, the ability to filter out unnecessary files that clutter archives (such as .DS_Store files), scripting support for power users (via AppleScript + Python for automating tasks), and a dual-mode which lets users switch between auto-extract and content-view modes.
