Enter the Maze of the Mad Illusionist and Slay Him

Spidering Willcage is a an old RPG originally made for Reign of Chaos and now the map has been remade and ported to Frozen Throne.

The game has a very interesting story: in the city of Vim’s Gatetown, the spirits of six ancient heroes were summoned to inhabit the bodies of six heroes. They will have to lead them into the depths of the Maze of the Mad Illusionist, known as the Spidering Willcage.

Once outside the city of Vim’s Gatetown, the heroes will have to fight their way through a treacherous land where the illusionist is constantly summoning all kinds of monsters to fight them and Try to stop them. The powers of this crazy mage grow when night falls and allow him to summon even more powerful monsters all in order to keep you reaching the Maze.

Inside the Maze, the Illusionist has even more power - and will use his illusions to baffle intruders. His horrifying maze is swarmed with murderous creatures who descend upon the heroes as they wind their way down to the depths of the deepest part of the Maze, where the Illusionist resides.

As legend has it, the Maze is also protected by a powerful Minotaur who owes his life to the Mad Illusionist and will guard the entrance to his secret chamber with the price of his life.

To aid you in your task, you will have additional quests, shops and places where you can retreat when the night falls. Also, if your selected hero dies, his spirit will return to Vim’s Gatetown to join the body of another of the town’s remaining heroes.

There are three difficulty settings you can choose from and they will control how much experience and how many monsters are spawned, readjusting the difficulty when one or more players leave the game.

This RPG map is a great one: you can play with five other friends or even on your own. The cool thing about it is that with only one command (Take), you will be able to play more then one Hero.
