This article is both a preview and an invitation. It introduces a new subcategory here on Softpedia, namely Microsoft/Tweak Mode. What will you be able to access via Tweak Mode? I'm glad
you asked. Those articles designated under Tweak Mode will expand beyond the pure informative nature of a piece of news. They will attempt to provide guides to enhance the functionality of Microsoft software products, guides accompanied by examples and illustrative screen shots. Tutorials, tweaks, tune-ups, gadgets, everything that will deliver a plus, a twist or an extra nuance to your Microsoft programs will be published under the Tweak Mode umbrella.

Although this initiative debuts today, you have been able to access such resources right here on Softpedia, only as general articles. Deleting the Undeletable in Windows Vista dealt with folder accessibility issues when upgrading to Vista, Create a System Health Report in Windows Vista provided instructions for the generation of a health report, Quick Zoom on the Windows Vista Desktop and in Explorer delivered an overview over the quick zoom capabilities of Microsoft's latest operating system and browser.

And these are but a few examples with many more to follow. As a general guideline, Tweak Mode will focus on Windows Vista. This is not to say that other Microsoft products are to be overlooked. It will not be the case. In the end... a tweak is a tweak... Also, we here at Softpedia are committed to provide you with at least a Tweak Mode article every day, and we are targeting professionals, power users and average users, with emphasis on accessibility. Enjoy!
