Enrique Iglesias has a new album coming out, his first bi-lingual studio material in his career. In order to get more media coverage, the singer teamed up with the cast of one of the most popular reality shows of the moment, MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” and shot an entire video with them, for his first single, “I Like It.” If Enrique had a choice, the collaboration wouldn’t stop here, E! Online has learned.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, also known as the “Jersey Shore” guy who’s always showing off his toned abs wherever he goes, is trying to launch a career as a rapper as well. In fact, he even has a single out, though whether it will actually be enough to build a career on it is still to be determined. Asked if he could see himself working with The Situation, Enrique is unequivocal: of course he’d jump at the chance if it ever came his way.

“Enrique Iglesias may have a ‘Situation’ on his hands. The singer, who recently featured the entire Jersey Shore cast in his music video ‘I Like It,’ is a fan of the MTV show. So could a collaboration with reality star turned rapper Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino be next? ‘I wouldn’t mind it,’ Iglesias told us when asked about possibly working with Sorrentino, who recently released his own fist-pumping single, titled ‘The Situation.’ ‘I mean, a lot of it comes down to the song, but it would be fun!’ The Latin hottie, whose first bilingual album, Euphoria, is available exclusively at Target July 6, admitted that despite their onscreen antics, the self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes were actually quite professional,” E! writes.

“‘They were very easy to work with,’ says Iglesias. ‘You watch the show and you see all this drama and all these fights and you’re like, Oh my God, all of this is going to be going on during the video! It wasn’t like that at all. Once I got to hang out with them, the guys were so nice and I’m actually a big fan now.’ Iglesias has kept in touch with the cast, even sending a personal message to Sorrentino, who celebrated his 28th birthday yesterday in NYC. ‘I woke up yesterday and I actually texted him Happy Birthday,’ he told us,” the e-zine further informs.

Even if most fans probably see nothing wrong in Enrique’s quite vocal affection for all things “Jersey Shore,” critics believe he may be trying to find something that will help him grab more headlines than he would otherwise on his own. Granted, “Jersey Shore” may be a fun show, but it’s the guilty type of fun because it’s wrong on many levels – therefore, being so bent on having your name associated with it could be a publicity hunt, it is being said.
