If you’ve been to Enrique Iglesias, then you know you stand very good chances at actually getting invited up on stage and share a smooch with none other than Mr. Enrique himself. If you ever wondered why he does it, read on.

In a recent interview with People magazine, the latino sensation says that he doesn’t deliberately set out to perform and make out with members of the audience.

Yet it happens – like it also did just recently at the Jingle Ball and then at the Y100 Jingle Ball concert. He says the smooching is not planned.

“I just get excited when I go on stage. I don’t do it all the time. I’ve got to be in a good mood, and I was in a good mood. There was no tongue,” Iglesias says of his two most recent “random acts of romance.”

Of course, his “victims” are not complaining – far from it actually. One lucky fan who was brought up on stage for a kiss, Cheryl Lavoie, 41, says that she wouldn’t have imagined this happening to her in her wildest dreams.

“It was the best night of my life. I did not expect whatsoever to be pulled up on stage from him. It was priceless,” Lavoie tells People of the night she got to lock lips with Enrique.

The fact that he actually bothered to ask for her husband’s permission before he took her to the stage only made the kiss all that spectacular, the fan adds for the same media outlet.

“He looked at my husband and asked if it was okay, basically. He’s like, ‘I’m going to kiss you now.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna have a heart attack!’ He’s got such soft lips. It was just a nice, sweet kiss,” Lavoie recalls for the aforementioned publication.

No word on how girlfriend and supposed fiancée Anna Kournikova feels about the smooch-fest.
