Don't you just hate those moments when you're watching a game in a sports bar and you want to hear the comments that usually accompany the broadcast, but there's simply way too much noise around? Well, if that's the case, then you should go to a place that has these little babies installed,
namely the Soundog table top wireless audio systems, which allow patrons to interact with the TV wirelessly and listen to quality audio directly at their table.
Thus, the Soundog (also known as Sounddog or Sound Dog), created by the people over at Sprox, is a wireless speaker system for use in restaurants, bars, health clubs and other facilities having multiple television screens. It works with most regular or high-definition cable or satellite receivers and, basically, it's a system that allows the broadcast of audio signals from a central transmitter to receivers (and consequently, to speakers) that are installed on each of the establishment's tables.
The system consists of the Soundog transmitter, the 8-channel receiver, as well as a charging station (dubbed the "Doghouse") used for recharging each of the separate speaker units. And since we're on the subject, it's important to mention the fact that all the speakers provide personal, directional sound, push buttons and easy on/off volume control. Furthermore, they sport a very tough, yet lightweight polycarbonate plastic casing, very suitable for long-term usage, especially in very crowded places such as bars, restaurants or pubs.
But why would a bar owner decide to install such a system? Well, according to the manufacturer, a behavior study shows 50% of the customers will stay longer because of the entertainment provided by Soundog. Research also shows that 9 out of 10 users are more likely to refer their friends to bars, sports bars and restaurants with the Soundog wireless audio system installed.
I'm not quite sure just how accurate the aforementioned study really is, but the truth of the matter is that such a system could really come in handy in numerous situations, and could prove to be quite beneficial for both customers and the owner(s) of the respective establishment.
