Blogger is the most popular blog service on the internet with millions of users already registered and new clients every day. Blogger was acquired by Google, the company that owns the best search engine on the internet, aiming to make the service even more powerful than before. Since the Google acquisition, Blogger was available in two versions: the old one and a beta test edition that was meant to test new exciting features implemented by the search giant that were also available with any Google account.

Some time ago, the company released the final version of the Blogger, introducing a lot of new exciting features that can help you post articles easier. For example, you can host a blog on your own domain using a new tool provided by the service, enabling you to attract even more visitors to your website.

Google's employees announced a new feature that can make your blog even more attracting by adding simple widgets to improve the functionality of the blog. Generally, widgets represent tiny tools that provide a single function based on another service or product. As you might know, Google already provides multiple types of widgets available for Google Personalized Homepage and Google Desktop. From now on, you can design your own widgets for Blogger using some interesting utilities provided by the blog service.

"Do you have a great idea for a Blogger widget? The new version of Blogger has an API for adding a custom widget to a blog. By using a simple web form on your site, you can encourage bloggers to add your widget to their blogs," Lexi Baugher sustained on the official blog. "The Layouts feature of Blogger opens up all sorts of new possibilities for people to customize their blogs in interesting ways. And even better, you can design new widgets or modules for others to add to their own blogs," it is also mentioned in the description of the service.
