The kitten spends most of its time sleeping, its mother is completely devoted to it

In mid-August, England's Exmoor Zoo welcomed a Caracal kitten. The tiny ball of fur spends most of its time sleeping, keepers say.

Truth be told, zoo employees and its mom are doing a great job making sure it doesn't lack anything it might need, so it's not like it has anything better than sleeping to do.

The picture above was taken when the Caracal kitten was about a week old. The kitten's eyes are still closed, and it looks anything but willing to part with its mother.

Sources say Caracals inhabit the African continent, as well as central and southwest Asia and India.

They are not yet in danger of going extinct anytime soon, but conservationists say that their population has been steadily declining over the past years.

Habitat loss and over-hunting are the main drive behind the recorded drop in their population.
