While previously rumored to sport a rounded back molded out of aluminum, the iPhone 5 may also look like this (image displayed to the left), according to a Chinese website whose sources have previously leaked accurate information.

iDealsChina hasn’t been accurate all the time, but its 4th-generation iPod nano leak proved accurate, therefore we could take into consideration the possibility that Apple’s next iPhone will look something like this.

These images are purported mold engineering drawings of the new iPhone 5, according to the site.

They corroborate an earlier leak involving a digitizer screen which shows the same edge-to-edge design, with smaller bezel and bigger screen.

Based on these leaks, it is believed that Apple is equipping the next iPhone with a 4-inch screen, though just as many voices say that’s not going to happen.

The diagrams would be used by case designers to create cases for the iPhone 5.

As noted above, another recent rumor said that Apple would revert to aluminum for the enclosure of the iPhone 5.

The reasons would be to eliminate problems like the easy-to-break glass panels, and the flawed antenna.

Unsurprisingly, various such leaks have tried to portray the iPhone 5 in white.

With the iPhone 4 shipping only in black, it makes sense to try to add credibility to an iPhone 5 rumor by throwing in imagery of a white handset, though we’re not suggesting today’s leak is a fake.

iPhone 5 should pack the powerful A5 chip, according to discoveries made after the release of iOS 4.3. Code strings in the firmware bundle have reportedly given away this rather foreseeable aspect.

The device is expected to ship in the June-July timeframe, with an announcement most likely occurring at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference.
