When the first computers came to be, they were all bulky, black-screened things with as much aesthetic value as an old toaster. Back then, it was already hard enough to make a decent system even without worrying that it won't fit in with the color of the wallpaper in the living room. As time went by, however, companies managed to reduce the size of components and come up with a look that gave the possibility for creating a machine that was easier on the eyes.

Eventually, certain hardware makers appeared that specialized in making computers look good. They came up with special chassis designs, ideas like side windows and various color options. Eventually, enthusiasts started craving for more, for the ability to make their PCs look as good as they run. This prompted companies like Enermax to develop product lines like the Apollish fan series.

The Apollish series of case fans was first introduced about 11 months ago and has since shown up in a significant number of high-end enclosures. Essentially, they are spinners that, besides fulfilling their roles of heat dispersers, are equipped with colored LED lights.

Their maker has now decided it was time for a refresh, which is why it brought out the Apollish Vegas collection, which are just as effective at cooling as their predecessors, but much more efficient.

The Apollish Vegas fans come in 120mm and 140mm form factors and are each designed with 18 LEDs that enable seven distinct lighting themes. The 12cm (21.14 euro) models have rotary speeds of 800-2000 RPM, air flow of 56.51-143.72 m3/h, minimum sound output of 16dBA and blue, green, red and silver color options. As for the 140mm fans (€25.84), they spin at 700-1500RPM, produce an air flow of 71.99 - 154.27 m3/h and as little as 15dBA of noise. Other features include a Twister bearing, detachable fan blades, high-resistance, glossy coating and an MTBF of 100,000 hours.
