Enermax has introduced its latest series of power supply units, one that apparently has 80Plus rating and, thus, is quite energy-efficient.

Called Triathlor FC, it is a successor, of sorts, to the Modu82+ PSU series, Enermax' most popular line ever.

The engineers who made the 550W and 650W newcomers looked at the long-term prospects of users.

That is to say, they thought of what would make a PSU be used for years instead of warranting replacement when the new hardware release wave happens.

Thus, Triathlor FC gets a classic black, ordinary housing, but high stability at all loads and silent cooling (patented Twister fan bearing for the 12cm T.B.Silence fan).

Then there is the flexible cable management system (the FC from the product name). The PSU ships with more connectors that desktops are likely to need, but all that might be needed.

The PSUs might not be modular, but there are plenty of conversion adapters. The Multi-Rail design (two massive 12V rails) will handle energy demand.
