Summer heat is blown away by a blue LED fan

End-users that have been keeping track of the latest developments may know that the past month was literally packed with announcements of newer and better mobile PCs. The other very obvious fact is that summer is in full bloom, which means overheating concerns may rise. Enermax likes to be prepared for such concerns. As such, some time ago, it began work on a portable PC cooler, meaning to have it done by the time July was upon the world. Sure enough, the company has issued a press release confirming that the product is now on sale.

The new notebook cooler goes by the name of Aeolus N14. As some may recognize, Aeolus is the name of the Greek god of the winds. This cooler measures 220 (L) x 270 (W) x 45 (H) mm, and should be compatible with all notebooks and tablet PCs on the market, provided their screen size does not go over 13.3 inches.

The cooler has five rubber stands and a honeycomb steel mesh. Inside that mesh rests, or spins in this case, a 140mm fan, equipped with four blue LED lights.

As is the case of all notebook cooling stands, the spinner runs on the power provided by a single USB port, though Enermax decided to throw in an extra such connector for good measure. All in all, the product should be able to keep the mobile PC at reasonable operational temperatures, even during the very hot days of July and August.

The honeycomb steel mesh has the role of optimizing heat dissipation and enabling wide-area cooling, while the tilted angle maximizes comfort through its ergonomic design. Furthermore, the weight of only 500 grams makes the Aeolus N14 easy to carry. Enermax has already made it available, with a price tag of 21.90 Euro.
