Enermax announced the launch of its latest Jazz enclosure of 3.5-inch hard disk drives. Made completely of aluminum, the new enclosure from Enermax allows the everyday computer user to create a portable external storage medium by simply inserting a standard 3.5-inch desktop hard disk drive into the Jazz casing.
As this enclosure was designed to be very easy to use and to be suitable for an average user, Enermax provided a tool-free design, together with waved mesh covers for additional protection.
The manufacturing company, Enermax, used its patented "zero screw" technology which is radically different from other "screw-less" or "tool-free" technologies as it does not apply only to the external part of the enclosure, but to the internal part as well, because the Jazz HDD enclosure eliminates the use of screws, even when it comes to securely attaching the hard disk drive. As there are several data transfer interfaces in use on the market today, Enermax's Jazz HDD enclosure comes in different shapes and sizes, allowing users to insert even 2.5-inch drives intended for laptop or notebook use.
One such Jazz enclosure is that which comes with support for a 2.5-inch hard disk drive, while offering support for a Serial ATA interface. The Jazz model EB207S-B comes with a sleek looking water-resistant travel bag and because the entire enclosure is very small, it can be easily carried even in a pocket. Other Jazz models are designed to hold a standard 3.5-inch desktop hard disk drive and they offer support for Serial ATA and eSATA data transfer interfaces, which allows users to reach higher speeds when moving files from one place to another. The entire Enermax Jazz hard disk drive enclosure line of products is built using a "waved mesh cover and an embedded mesh in the massive aluminum bottom panel that enhances the heat dissipation" while providing an external appearance that is notable for its sturdiness and looks. The crystal acrylic stand is offering a contrast to the tri-colored LED backlight design, which informs users about the state of the hard disk drives.
