Energy Hook will bring its grapple-and-swing-then-run-along-walls-for-points action to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, not only to PC owners.

Developer Happion Labs was founded by Jamie Fristrom after quitting Activision, following the completion of Spider-Man 2. Energy Hook is its first project, crowdfunded through a Kickstarter campaign during mid-2013.

Energy Hook is designed to expand on the acclaimed swinging mechanics introduced in Spider-Man 2 and Bionic Commando, by also challenging players to perform various tricks in order to earn points for style.

“You swing from rooftop to rooftop, pull off mid-air tricks, run along walls, and rack up points and energy for doing it. Because: it's the future. And that's what the extreme sports of the future look like. You have gravity beams and gravity boots and jetpacks and can do awesome stuff,” Fristrom explained on PSBlog.

He continued to inform that Energy Hook will be made available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita before any other consoles, and that he expects to deliver the game some time during 2014.
