Endian Firewall Community, a "turn-key" Linux security distribution that turns every system into a full-featured security appliance with Unified Threat Management (UTM) functionality, is now at version 3.0 Beta.

Endian Firewall Community 3.0 Beta is a major release in the series and comes with a lot of new features. If you feel uncomfortable with a beta version, a stable release, 2.5.2, has been made available only a short while ago.

According to the developers, HTTPS filtering has been introduced, users now have access to SMTP Proxy: Domain Management, True SSL/TLS VPN, and support for TAP and TUN modes has been added.

Check the release announcement for more details about this distribution. Download Endian Firewall 3.0 Beta right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
