The image above shows the space shuttle Endeavour attached to the roof of its Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA), as both of them are taxied on a runway at the NASA Kennedy Space Center, in Florida.

Occupying the background is the reason why the SCA is not airborne. Severe weather conditions throughout Florida have already postponed Endeavour's final flight by two days. Currently, the heavily modified Boeing 747 carrying the orbiter is scheduled to fly towards California on September 19.

The image was collected at the KSC Shuttle Landing Facility on Monday, September 17. The same weather conditions were pervasive today as well, which forced NASA officials to announce another delay.

If the SCA takes off tomorrow, then Endeavour will make its way to California by Friday. Its final destination is the California Science Center, in Los Angeles.
