Zoologists film them while they are still crawling around their den

Anu and Lasya, two female snow leopards, recently gave birth to several cubs, which now hide away in their dens in Mongolia's Tost Mountains.

Researchers from Panthera, an organization that focuses on studying big cats, and members of the Snow Leopard Trust, tracked both females down and succeeded in catching the newly-born cubs on tape.

Apparently, this is the first time when anyone gets to film such young representatives of this species.

Zoologists explain that snow leopards are by their very nature elusive animals that shy away from humans as often as they can. However, throughout the years, human society has had no issues in destroying their natural habitat and bringing them to the verge of extinction.

Hopefully, this video will help raise environmental awareness worldwide, and more attention will be given to the need to protect our planet's biodiversity.
