Playing Metro, Crusader Kings II, PCM 2013 and Half-Life 2

Andrei Dumitrescu: I will spend my weekend mainly watching the most exciting stages of Il Giro, cheering my favorite cycling team, Radioshack Nissan, while carefully watching the tactics that the riders employ to gain a competitive advantage.

That also means that my limited gaming time will be spent with last year’s edition of Pro Cycling Manager, running an alternate reality scenario and trying to deploy my own specialized tactics to win.

Cycling is an impressive sport in real life, but it has limited appeal to gamers. Nevertheless, I would love to see the Cyanide team working on PCM to get access to the same level of resources that a studio like EA Sports has for FIFA.

If I have any more time, I plan to spend it playing Crusader Kings II, anticipating the launch of the new Old Gods expansion, which is set to add more options for pagans and take the start date to the IX century, opening up more gameplay options.

Andrei Dobra: This weekend, I'll probably go back to Metro: Last Light, as after finishing the game for the review, I want to take my time and do a full stealth playthrough and explore every nook and cranny, as well as the different side tunnels that are featured in certain locations.

The game definitely impressed me with its world, its main hero, Artyom, and its different characters, so I'm looking forward to once again experiencing it.

When I am not making my way through the tunnels of the Moscow metro, I'll probably jump back into another first-person shooter, in the form of Half-Life 2. My interest in the old game has reappeared recently, after it was added by Valve into the Steam Trading Card beta, so I'm looking forward to once again experiencing the adventures of Dr. Gordon Freeman.
