Playing InFamous: Second Son, Qvadriga, Strife and Diablo 3

Andrei Dumitrescu: I plan to spend a lot of my weekend playing Qvadriga, one of the weirdest titles I have come across in the last few years, which aims to simulate the Roman sport of chariot racing.

The game is not perfect, but it tends to be beautiful and I enjoy the challenge of trying to become good at a sport that cannot be actually played anywhere in the real world in the form in which it is presented in the simulation.

I will also try to take another shot at liking Titanfall, a shooter that everybody is talking about, but which has only made me think about revisiting the multiplayer of Mass Effect 3.

I will try to play with a group of friends in order to see whether coordination and communication make me appreciate the experience more.

Andrei Dobra: This weekend, I'm finally jumping into Infamous: Second Son on the PlayStation 4. I really liked the first two games, Infamous 1 and 2, as well as the Festival of Blood expansion, and I want to see what the hugely talented team at Sucker Punch can achieve with the PS4's power.

I tried to stay away from spoilers for some time, so that my first experience with Second Son is as pure as possible.

When I am not wielding crazy superpowers in a virtual Seattle in Second Son, I'll probably jump back into Luftrausers. I’ve already reviewed the game earlier this week and Vlambeer's arcade flight experience has left a mark on me thanks to its great procedural encounters.

After the great EMS One Katowice Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament last weekend, my appetite for Valve's shooter has certainly increased and I also want to spend some time with the delightful game.

Radu Haulica: This weekend, I'm taking another MOBA for a spin, and I never thought a more cartoonish looking game than League of Legends could exist. Well, prepare to be amazed, as Strife even has cute and cuddly companions and couriers that look as lovable as the woodland critters in the Woodland Critter Christmas South Park episode.

Unfortunately, I'm willing to wager they're not into Satan worshiping. Or are they? Only one way to find out. Strife seems pretty solid so far, balanced, fun and with a strong design as far as its mix of spells goes, and it also has some unique features such as being able to craft your own unique items from the available materials and recipes. So it's time to dig deeper.

Also on my weekend to do list is some more time with Diablo, the insidious Lord of Terror that has been plaguing humankind and those annoying 1 percenters up in heaven for three games now. Occupy heaven! Diablo 3 seems to have gotten an invigorating shot in the arm with the recent patch, it's now harder and better and I've been really enjoying it. And to think that Reaper of Souls hasn't even come out yet.
