Playing PCM 2013, Borderlands 2, Wargame AirLand Battle and Sonic Racing

Andrei Dumitrescu: This weekend, I plan to get away to the seaside, which means that computer gaming will likely take a backseat to other more pressing concerns, including how much sunscreen I should use, how much time to spend in the water as opposed to sand and how little sleep I can function on.

Before I leave, I plan to play a few stages in Pro Cycling Manager 2013, continuing my long-running simulation of Le Tour de France 100th edition.

The stages are much more meaningful in their simulated form, given the fact that I will probably lack the time to actually watch them when they take place on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday night, after the inevitable return, I will also unwind from the stress of the road with a few matches of Wargame AirLand battle, a strategy game that only gets better as the development team at Eugen Systems delivers more updates for it.

The only problem is that I need to read a few pages of patches and discussions linked to them to get up to speed.

Andrei Dobra: This weekend, I'll focus on erasing the painful memories I created with Ride to Hell: Retribution and will probably jump back into some old favorites of mine, starting with Borderlands 2.

I have already completed the game's final DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, with my main character, the Commando, but I'm also keen on going through the add-on with my wife by playing as a Mechromancer.

Developer Gearbox really outdid itself with the add-on and there are so many hints to other games and fantasy tropes that it boggles the mind.

When I am not traveling around Pandora, I'll probably try out Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, as it's free-to-play on Steam this weekend and I want to see what all the fuss is about concerning the kart-racing game.
