Andrei Dumitrescu: I am gripped by cycling fever and it's a good season to be down with this particular disease, seeing how the launch schedule for big name video games is going through its summer slump and how Le Tour de France is going on on television.

This means I plan to spend most of my weekend time with the volume on max on the TV and with my eyes glued to the beautiful images from France.

I will also be playing some Pro Cycling Manager 2011 when I am not watching actual cycling as a real-world sport, mostly pushing through a 2011 season with Leopard-Trek.

And when I get tired of watching men in skintight suits racing around, I also plan to fire up the For the Motherland expansion for Hearts of Iron III and get a 1936 campaign going with Germany and one with the United Kingdom in order to see how the game has been improved.

I was initially going to wait for some mods before playing this game, but initial reports from the forum suggest that game is significantly better than during its previous incarnations.

Andrei Dobra: Seeing as how this weekend is under an extreme heat warning in my city, I'll probably stay inside, comforting myself with the AC and a variety of games, many freshly bought from Valve's Steam digital store, largely because of the massive summer sale promotion it's been hosting in the past week.

I finally picked up titles like Defense Grid: The Awakening, AaaAAaaa: A Reckless Disregard of Gravity, Beat Hazard or Alpha Protocol, so the toughest job right now is picking which to play first.

When I won't be indulging in all these games on the PC, I'll probably jump back into the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta, even if it's a bit hard to get used to the console controls after a rather lengthy period of playing just on the computer, with a mouse and keyboard.

As you can tell by my impressions of the multiplayer beta, Uncharted 3 has really peaked my interest, so I'm definitely looking forward to November 1, when Naughty Dog and Sony are set to launch the Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception for the PlayStation 3.
