Andrei Dumitrescu: Le Tour de France 2012 is wrapping up its first week and the racing has been exciting in the real world, which means that I will continue to play the official cycling simulation from Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive during the weekend in order to rack up my own virtual wins.

At home, I play a full season of PCM 2012 with my own custom-made team, including both stars like Cancellara and Andy Schleck, and riders that could deliver big results in the coming years, like Sagan and Velits.

I am currently in the middle of Il Giro, where I am trying to get some stage victories.

At work, I am creating the series of Tour-based Gamer Diaries that anyone can follow.

When the simulation gets too much for me, I will briefly jump into the Gods & Kings expansion for Civilization V in order to see how religion and espionage are changing the turn-based strategy.

Andrei Dobra: My weekend will be dominated by quite a few different types of games, from Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, to Mass Effect 3 or Diablo 3.

First up is Ubisoft’s impressive squad-based third-person shooter, as I’m keen on once again taking control of the Ghosts and going on all sorts of missions around the world.

While shooters are quite numerous nowadays, the sheer amount of gadgets and technologies used by the protagonists in the game makes everything feel fresher and more exciting.

Even if there’s no weekend operation, I’ll most certainly engage in a few Mass Effect 3 multiplayer matches alongside my colleagues, for old time’s sake.

When I won’t be shooting different types of guns, I’ll head on back to Diablo 3, as I want to level up my new Monk character and join up with a few of my friends and have some fun together battling the forces of evil.
