Playing Terrian Saga: KR-17, Hearthstone, DOTA 2 and PCM 2014

Andrei Dumitrescu: There are moments when I wonder why I even bother buying any other video games than Pro Cycling Manager and Football Manager in the course of the year, because the two simulations offer enough content to easily keep me engaged for an entire year.

My various PCM 2014 careers are going pretty well, although my enthusiasm for the team made up of young riders has cooled off somewhat after I was unable to make it win an important stage in the virtual version of Le Tour de France.

So much cycling can be too much for one person, and that means I might also try to jump into some multiplayer battles of Company of Heroes 2 – The Western Front Armies while the peloton moves in the background.

I will try to use the classic Soviet and German armies and see how they can deal with OKW and the United States factions that are introduced by the expansion, preferable on some maps that feature some snow.

Andrei Dobra: This weekend is dedicated to Dota 2, as The International 4 main event kicks off in full force. I'm not particularly rooting for any team right now, although Newbee certainly proved itself to be a fierce team after defeating quite a few big groups, like Natus Vincere, during the qualifiers.

When I won't be devouring the many matches that happen at the Key Arena in Seattle, I'll probably go and play a few indie projects that are currently set for review, such as Terrian Saga: KR-17 and Deadstone.

Look forward to hearing about the two titles soon enough.

Last but not least, I'll possibly jump back into the beta version of Destiny on the PS4, as I want to hone my skill in the PvP Crucible mode before the release of the final game in September.

Radu Haulica: The Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure is delivering the first instance of single-player content to fans of WarCraft-themed card slinging action next week, and I'm now facing the difficult decision of putting together 2800 gold over the course of one month or ponying up the cash to unlock it.

Of course, the first wing of the adventure will be offered free of charge during the month-long celebratory event, because Blizzard, just like any other drug peddler worth its salt, knows that the first hit is always on the house.

It's a grim reality that I am starkly aware of, yet still I drool with a vacant gaze, like Jack Nicholson at the end of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, when thinking about the voluptuous, web-filled nooks of the Arachnid Quarter.

Give it to me already Blizzard, I'm tired of sucking at Arena, I want to pummel a poor defenseless AI into submission until it gives up all the juicy new cards. Ah well, since it's not like I have a choice in the matter, this weekend I'll be patiently climbing up the ranks to see how many Leeroys my face can take in one single turn. So far, the record is three, thank you very much Rogue!
