Playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2, PCM 2014 and Hearthstone

Andrei Dumitrescu: The 2014 edition of Le Tour de France is in full swing and the competition has been very spectacular so far, from the start in England to the recent cobble sections that were part of the fifth stage, and this means that watching the real-world racing only makes me more interested in spending time with Pro Cycling Manager 2014.

The simulation from developer Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Interactive might not be able to capture all the diversity that the sport offers, but it does have a number of cool mechanics that can deliver interesting race results.

I have stopped playing with Trek Factory Racing at the moment, because I decided to try and dominate the World Tour and Le Tour de France using a new custom team which focuses on the young talent of the peloton.

I am currently contesting Il Giro, and my band of riders under 25 years old manages to perform quite well against the old guard of Contador and Froome.

Andrei Dobra: My weekend will probably be filled with Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. First up, the large MOBA game is currently going through its The International 4 tournament and there are a huge amount of teams competing for the gigantic prize pool.

When I won't be admiring professional Dota 2 games, I'll jump a bit into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. While the maps in the new Operation Breakout are more reminiscent of Call of Duty than traditional Counter-Strike, they're still pretty fun.

Last but not least, I'll give Conversion a try, the intriguing mix of different arcade games, from Super Mario Bros. to Ninja Gaiden or Pac-Man.

Radu Haulica: Blizzard's virtual card flinging game, Hearthstone, is getting its first single-player adventure this month, in the form of the ominous-sounding The Curse of Naxxramas.

Not one known to save, I prefer to live on the spur of the moment, and as such, the impending launch of the first wing of the fabled floating necropolis is likely to catch me a tad off-guard in the virtual currency department.

Over the course of this weekend I intend to steel my resolve and leave behind my destitute state, by relentlessly pursuing opponents, outmaneuvering them with my creatures and out-classing them with my spells, in order to amass a small fortune in both gold as well as dust, getting ready for the big opening of Naxxramas' first wing.

The Arachnid quarter holds a dear spot in my heart from my early forays into the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for Blizzard's massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft, when Anub'Rekhan, Faerlina and Maexxna were the bosses I farmed for pocket money while dreaming of future glory.
