Andrei Dumitrescu: It’s December, the last month of 2013, and that means we are all thinking about how we will spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve and about our Game of the Year picks.

That means that I might use part of the weekend to revisit some of my favorite experiences of the year and see exactly which of them merit a mention on the end of the year list.

Choosing is tricky and in order to relax my brain and make sure that I make the best possible decisions, I will relax by playing Football Manager 2014, trying to finally create a team that can take the European Champions League away from Manchester City, which has become the dominant force on the continent by 2019.

This weekend, I will also be attending the weeding of one of my best friends and I am struggling to come up with a gaming-related gift to offer to the happy couple.

I was thinking of giving them a 3DS or a Vita but I am afraid that such a gift might mean that I will also be offering long-term advice about the games they should try out.

Andrei Dobra: I'll dedicate this weekend to the PS4 next-gen console as I want to spend some more time with Sony's device and with games that I've yet to try out, like Resogun.

I spent quite a bit of time with Super Stardust on the PS3 a few years ago and now developer Housemarque promises to deliver an even better arcade shooter experience with Resogun, so I'm really looking forward to it.

When I am not shooting in space, I'll probably go back to a few other PS4 games, like Killzone: Shadow Fall or Need for Speed: Rivals. While I have thoroughly enjoyed their story campaigns for this week's reviews, I now want to enjoy their multiplayer modes at a greater length.
