Playing Injustice: Gods Among Us, Company of Heroes 2, Heart of Darkness, Sacred Citadel

Andrei Dumitrescu: I have played quite a bit of the Company of Heroes 2 beta, or stress test as Relic called it, and I have re-discovered how much I love the series, which takes on the real-time strategy genre.

This means that I will revisit the first game in the series, jumping into some multiplayer in order to see the innovations that were introduced in the sequel.

I will also play a lot of Victoria II with the Heart of Darkness expansion, trying to perfect my colonization process and gain the upper hand in the world as Great Britain and as Prussia.

The grand strategy title from Paradox Interactive delivers an impressive simulation of the XIX century, mixing politics, economic elements and quite a bit of diplomatic tension that can easily move towards open warfare.

The new mechanics are also interesting but they also seem to increase the difficulty level of the game.

If I have any more free time, I will direct it towards Pro Cycling Manager, trying to win the Giro d’Italia with an entire custom-made team.

Andrei Dobra: I'll probably spend this weekend with a few interesting downloadable games, including Sacred Citadel, a cooperative-focused side-scrolling brawler, reminiscent of retro arcade games, but with some interesting graphics that look very impressive.

While the link to the broader Sacred franchise is quite flimsy, the title is quite decent and will certainly delight fans of the genre.

Besides Sacred Citadel, I'll probably engage in some more Guacamelee, as I now want to try out my skills on a harder difficulty mode in the delightful side-scrolling puzzle platformer.

Last but not least, I'm bound to jump back into Injustice: Gods Among Us, as there are plenty of classic matches that I need to beat in order to unlock all the different epilogues for the many heroes and villains from the fighting game.
