Enbridge enterprise, in partnership with Renewable Energy Systems Americas, has managed to complete their 535 million dollars wind energy project, by opening a new plant in Colorado. The company's main objective has been the development of 250-megawatt Cedar Point project, which exploit the benefits of wind energy usage.

Enbridge is trying to apply their capabilities and experience in alternative power in order to help replace the conventional sources of energy and develop emerging renewable systems.

In present times, when governments invest significantly in actions promoting alternative energy, in order to replace the traditional ones, the company is excited to announce the fact that, according to their approximations, the new factory will be able to provide clean energy for about 800,000 homes.

At the same time, Enbridge declared that same numbers reflect the tons of CO2 emissions that won't end up in the atmosphere due to their successful initiative.

The alternative energy provided by the factory will come from a subsidiary of Xcel Energy. This agreement will work based on a long-term contract between the two major companies.

Enbridge has developed their area of interest, expanding from strategies which increase the usage of wind power to solar or geothermal energy, investing substantial funds in these new fields. The opening of the new plant in Colorado reflects one of Enbridge's last successful strategies. But the story doesn't end here.

Apparently Enbridge plans to take over Tonbridge Power Inc, a very ambitious idea which includes purchasing and developing Montana power transmission line project.

The initiative depends on stakeholders' approval and apparently reflects a 70 million dollars settlement. After showcasing the new factory in Colorado, the company seems eager to start a new investment.

Enbridge declared it is ready and willing to take $20 million out of its budget to finance Tonbridge Power Inc. Also, it seems that the enterprise has agreed to pay another approximately $50 million, amount that represents all the costs implied by the 214-mile transmission line which has been functioning so far.
