EnGarde Secure Linux 3.0.19 Has Been Released

Contains bug-fixes, updated software and features enhancements

The Guardian Digital team, which is in charge of the development and maintenance of Engarde Secure Linux, has announced last evening the release of EnGarde Secure Community Edition 3.0.19 (Version 3.0, Maintenance release 19).
According to Digital Guardian this new release comes not only with many updated packages and bug fixes, but also with some feature enhancements. The following bugs were fixed in this release:

· #0000186 SASL fails
· #0000187 Error in webtool's vhost create/edit module
· #0000188 Using ICMP with Firewall
· #0000190 MySQL Permissions
· #0000191 webtool password length
· #0000192 feat req: display package details during install/listbox

Beside the bug fixes, let's take a closer look to the new features and updated software:

· Several enhancements were made to einstall, the EnGarde Secure Linux Installer. The "Language Selection" screen now works and will complete the installation in the language (and with the associated keymap) you select. Network configuration information is also carried over from the LiveCD configuration, if present, into the installer.
· Several new packages, such as alpine (1.00), netcat (0.7.1), nikto (2.02), pam_userpass (1.0.2), perl-Text-CSV_XS (0.34), watchdogd (0.90), and smokeping (2.2.7).
