14 DAY TRIAL // Emsi Software rolled out a new version for their Anti-Malware suite, increasing the build number to 6.0.0.56.
Unlike previous releases, this one features quite a list of modifications affecting the GUI, as well as the various built-in modules. However, most of them can be regarded as having little importance.
The latest version of the package strengthens behavior monitoring by adding a new autorun location to keep an eye on.
Protection is further reinforced through improving exploit detection for MS Word files and the scan of PDF files (multiple possible exploit infections are handled).
Improvements in the suite extend to memory management, data validation during scans so that crashes are avoided, or touch on dynamic disk support.
Additional changes made in this build refer to smaller issues, such as refreshing the license details during online update, updated copyright year in footer or improvements in skinning feature.
