Google is said to be a paradise, especially due to its amazing Googlecampus and to its employees. Let's not forget the great conditions and the satisfaction you get when working for such a popular company. However, employees are continuously leaving Google although they all admit that working for the Mountain View-based search company was a dream which came true.

Jeffrey Veen, who worked for Google as Design Manager, was the project lead of Measure Map a.k.a. Google Analytics, a product which was bought by Google and renamed back in 2006. In a blog post published on his personal website, Jeffrey Veen says that he decided to leave Google, although it was a great company to work for. The reason? "It's time for another shift," he explains.

"The decision to leave was a tough one. Google clearly is an amazing company to work for. After consulting with many companies during my time at Adaptive Path, it's clear that Google is like no other: they move fast, think clearly, and push strategic decisions out to the people closest to their users. But in my career, I've always swung between the big and the small and it's time for another shift," Jeffrey Veen wrote in the blog entry.

His opinion about Google as an employer? "I also had the opportunity to work with Google's User Experience Team - a shockingly talented and effective group of designers and researchers. I wish I could talk about all the amazing things they're working on; all the ways they're changing how we'll connect to the world's information and to each other," he added.

According to Wikipedia, Google has 19,156 employees as of March 31, 2008, many of them working at the company's headquarters located in Mountain View, California.
