After Zinedine Zidane, another European legend produced tons of emotions for thousands of spectators and millions of fans, especially Manchester United ones, all over the world.

Ever since he left Man U, Roy Keane owed the fans a proper "Good Bye". And he had to do it in style, playing football for the last time in front of a 70.000 crowd, on the "Dreams Theatre", the Old Trafford Stadium.

More than two hours before the game started, Old Trafford was already full. No one could have entered the stadium, since all of the 70.000 places were already taken. How many more fans were trying to get there, we'll never know. And it isn't important anyway. The main thing was that the atmosphere on Old Trafford was purely sensational.

The Man U - Celtic Glasgow match was the last homage paid by Keane to all his fans: United, Celtic and Irish. He played for Celtic in the first half. The second one, he wore for the last time the United red jersey.

More than 30.000 Celtic fans were gathered to watch Keane for the last time too, even if the Irish played for their team one year only. The final score was 1-0 for Manchester, the goal being scored by Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo. After the game, tears were running down his face. After spending the majority of his life as a footballer wearing the "red devils" jersey, he took the microphone and talked to the crowd from center field: "I'd like to thank everyone who has turned up. I hope you all had a great night," he said, with his wife Theresa shedding a few tears in the stand. "It's something I will remember for the rest of my life". After he looked his wife Theresa in the eyes - she was also crying of emotion - he said good bye for good to Manchester fans and, most probably, to football. Man U will certainly have someone to regret after the 9th of May 2006, while Keane will enter United history books forever.
