Will Ferrell was at the Emmys 2013 last night but, unlike all other stars present for the big awards show, he wasn’t dressed to the nines. In fact, he even brought along three very surprising dates: his kids.

The comedic actor strolled on stage dressed in a pair of shorts and his best stay-at-home t-shirt, accompanied by his 3 kids, one of whom was still clutching his blankie.

“It is indeed an honor to be presenting the last two awards of the evening,” Ferrell said.

He also explained that his nannies, Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith, announced him just 45 minutes before the show that they could not babysit, and he couldn’t find any childcare.

“We had a soccer game, a neighbor's birthday party, a nut allergy. I didn't have time to do my hair,” he lamented.

In just a few seconds, he had to advise two of his children to share the tablet by taking 30-second turns. He then introduced the Outstanding Comedy Series winner: “Modern Family.”
