For the first time since the Emmys started awarding best choreography, the nominees in the category showed up on stage to do a huge musical and dancing number. It is embedded in the video above.

Host Neil Patrick Harris came up with the idea, which offered the professional dancers / choreographers the chance to come up with a unique routine that would use whatever music and dancers they wanted.

The only condition was that it also included Harris, which, as you can see for yourself, it did.

Some of the biggest shows right now on television were featured, such as “Mad Men,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Game of Thrones,” and “Breaking Bad,” with each segment getting its own music.

It was truly one of the best moments of the night.

It ended with announcing the winner for Outstanding Choreography: Derek Hough of Dancing With the Stars, which had actually been nominated twice in the same category.
