Emmys 2013: Neil Patrick Harris’ Amazing Singing Number in the Middle of the Show

Singing and dancing extravaganza includes cameos from Nathan Fillon and Sarah Silverman

Emmys 2013 host Neil Patrick Harris told Jimmy Fallon in his opening monolog that it would be “too gay” if he started dancing and singing, even if he knew that people expected it of him because he does it so beautifully.

Perhaps not wanting to disappoint, NPH included a halftime routine, which he hilariously called “the number in the middle of the show.”

You can see it in full above.

As expected, it included plenty of singing and dancing, but also lots of humor, the Emmy Golden Girls, and two surprise cameos, from “Castle” star Nathan Fillion and comedienne Sarah Silverman.

Sarah, as always, needs her mouth washed with soap – and she knows it only too well.

Check out Neil’s fancy dance moves! It was definitely one of the most fun moments of the night.
