Merritt Wever, whom fans know from the series “Nurse Jackie,” just won her first Emmy last night, at the 2013 Emmy Awards gala. She was also the first winner of the night.

At the same time, she made history for delivering the shortest, most non-acceptance-speech acceptance speech ever.

You can see above all its 30-second entirety.

“Oh, my God. Thank you. Thanks so much. Thank you so much. I’ve got to go. Bye,” she said before running off stage.

Host Neil Patrick Harris deemed it the “best speech ever,” and many fans feel the same way. After all, what else can you expect from a comedic actress than to play true to her image and go against the tide?

Backstage, Wever told EW that nerves also had a lot to say in her non-existent acceptance speech.

“It’s hard to do those. I’m scared. I’m scared. It was unexpected. I don’t know how to feel yet. I mean, I have therapy next week,” she laughed.
