14 DAY TRIAL // I don’t know about you, but if I were to pick an all-time favorite dancing pro on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, that would be, without a doubt, Derek Hough. If you feel the same way, you too will be thrilled to hear he’s won his first Emmy.
At last night’s Emmys 2013 awards show, the handsome Derek took to the stage to take home his first award for Outstanding Choreography.
He had been nominated for 4 routines he created for DWTS this past year, with one of them embedded above. You know, in case you missed it at the time it aired.
“Wow, wow, wow, wow. Thank you, guys. Love you,” Derek said in his acceptance speech, clearly overwhelmed.
He thanked the entire DWTS team, but also “My mom, my dad, all my sisters. Julianne, I love you. Corky and Shirley Ballas, Mark Ballas. And – holy [expletive]!”
His fans are already saying on social media that Derek’s win had been a long time coming.
